Published at 16. 9. 2008 in category Main

Also known as Twenty one or Pontoon, it is played most widely in the casinos throughout the world. Blackjack is a very interesting card game which is played almost everywhere. Playing this game requires skill as well as publicity surrounding card counting which involves calculating the probability of the advantage which is based on the ratio of higher to lower cards.
The first origin of the game was found in the book of the gambler Miguel de Cervantes. The book was called Don Quixote. This book is about a couple of cheaters who were working in the city of Seville. They were proficient in cheating at Vientiuna or twenty one for Spanish. It stated that the main objective of the game was to reach a score of 21 points without busting.  When introduced in the United States, Black jack was not a very popular game. The later references of this game were found in Spain and France. So the gambling house had to offer various bonuses for the players to remain seated on the table and play the game. One of such bonuses that were offered was a 10-1 payout to the player who got the ace of spades with a blackjack that is jack of clubs or jack of spades. This hand itself was called a Black jack, and the name stuck to the game even after the bonus was eliminated. With the current developments in the game, it may not contain a jack or even any black cards at all.
